As a new month unfolds, fresh data emerges. According to the latest figures from Motor Intelligence, a total of 665 Lucid electric vehicles found their way onto the roads in January. This includes 615 Lucid Air cars, alongside 50 Lucid Gravity SUVs.

If the registration numbers for January 2025 are accurate, this represents a 51% increase compared to the same month last year. In January 2024, Motor Intelligence reported that Lucid had 439 registrations.

Motor Intelligence categorizes vehicles specifically into two main types: cars and trucks, without a distinct classification for SUVs. This streamlined approach allows for a clearer understanding of the vehicle landscape. It’s also crucial to recognize that the data presented is based on estimates rather than official statistics from Lucid, which means it may not reflect precise numbers.

This week, we received registration data from Germany. Unlike other monthly reports, this one is government-run and can be considered a more reliable source. According to their records, Lucid registered 19 cars in January, which represents an 850% increase compared to the same month last year.

Although the vehicle deliveries in Germany may not be impressive, there has been a notable decline in other pure electric vehicle brands in January. Tesla saw a year-over-year drop of 59.5%, while Nio experienced a decrease of 33.3%.

Bovag reported vehicle registrations for the Netherlands during the month of January; however, Lucid was not included in their report. This could mean that there were no registrations for Lucid in January or that it was simply overlooked. I will provide updates next month if more information becomes available.
