While orders still haven’t opened in the United States, I would expect to hear an announcement on that this week. It has been a much-anticipated moment for many enthusiasts and potential customers alike. This Thursday, there is a private event in New York where the invite reveals “Encounter extraordinary.” My presumption is that at this event, the Lucid Gravity Touring will be unveiled to the US market with orders to follow shortly thereafter.

Why the change?

It was previously stated that they intended to open orders in late 2025; however, it seems that this timeline has undergone a revision. In my assessment, this change may be attributed to one of two potential reasons.

With the new leadership, this scenario seems more likely. If they can successfully launch the Gravity, the demand for an $80,000 7-seater SUV exists, and entering this market is essential. Launching both the $80,000 base model and the $95,000 Grand Touring model simultaneously might detract from the higher trim, but the total addressable would be much higher.
